This past week has been super hectic for me. Whenever life throws me some curve balls I crave comfort food, and for myself that means pasta. I wanted to mix it up a bit and I happened to have some shrimp on hand. I love shrimp linguine, it’s something I order at a restaurant a lot. I looked at a lot of recipes online and saw some things they all had in common and then I put my spin on it. Hope this could be your go to comfort food!
As an Italian I can tell you my favorite food is pasta and sauce. I’ve tried a lot of sauces out there and this is one of my favorites. This is a recipe that has some heat to it, so if you’re not a fan of that, feel free to scale it back or eliminate it all together.
So this week I thought we’d switch things up a bit and so I’m giving you three recipes in one. Things on toast has become very popular over the last year. It’s something that’s quick, easy and can be pretty healthy over all. These are three of my favorites. None of these take more than a few minutes to put together and they all make a great snack!
You know what they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And what better way to make it fun and healthy then with breakfast nachos. These nachos aren’t just for breakfast they can be for lunch, dinner or a midnight snack. This recipe is a little different then my others, in that it has two parts. Don’t you fret it’s still super easy and super yummy, with very little guilt.
Since it’s been unseasonably warm the last few days and it seems like there is no sign of slowing down, I broke out the grill again. I love making grilled chicken, it’s so quick and easy and there are so many options. Take advantage of the remaining nice weather and get out and grill.

As Labor Day has just passed, many of us are still in the party and end of summer mood. This is a great side dish to accompany any meal. It makes a lot and is super quick and easy. This is sure to be a hit at a party or just to spice up a mundane weeknight dinner.
As the end of summer is coming and Labor Day weekend is approaching, parties seem to be in no short supply. If my grandmother taught me anything, it’s that you never go anywhere empty handed. Always bring something to a party, even if the host says it is not necessary. A nice bottle of wine, a desert or a dip. This chunky guacamole is the perfect thing to bring to any party this holiday weekend.
Coming from a very Italian family, pasta has always been my go to. This recipe is something my mother would always make growing up. It’s great on its own or wonderful as a side dish. This is something that doubles well and also reheats nicely.

One of my favorite things to make for dinner is breakfast. It’s quick, easy and usually pretty cheap. Last night for dinner I made a staple, French toast. My secret ingredient to making the best French toast is vanilla extract. It takes your French toast to a whole new level of savory and sweet. It’s something the whole family can enjoy.
