As we all live into this Spring season taking in the beauty of God’s earthly creation, may we also humbly & graciously receive God’s gift of new life for our spirits & the hope & healing it brings.
Through all the years that the disciples walked & followed their teacher & shepherd Jesus through His ministry, they were student followers. Throughout His ministry leading up to His ascension into Heaven, Jesus was preparing His disciples to bear witness to His ministry & to live spreading God’s Holy Word & reflecting His light & hope & thus healing to all His people. We read in the Bible that He promised not to leave them orphaned but to leave them empowered with the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. As Jesus promised His disciples, so too He promises us the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. As the current of God’s love washed over them & through them, the disciples were transformed into leaders, called & named by Christ to spread the Gospel message & reflect the love of God & thus carrying on Jesus’s ministry on earth.
Following the ascension of Jesus, we read that the disciples empowered by the Holy Spirit, in faith, stepped into their new calling as leaders out in the world, teaching the inclusive ministry of Jesus & reflecting God’s Word of unconditional love, healing, hope, forgiveness & salvation for all people as they proclaimed the new life given. Through His Divine power, Jesus had given to the disciples & now to all of us, all things that pertain to life & Godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory & virtue.
As we all live into this Spring season taking in the beauty of God’s earthly creation, may we also humbly & graciously receive God’s gift of new life for our spirits & the hope & healing it brings. Jesus’s love is deep & unchanging. May we each embrace that love, live in its light & spread the good news His unending love brings, embracing & spreading hope & healing as we move through our days.
As quoted from the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans:
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord”. AMEN
Holy Living God, I pray that as I make every effort to nurture the Holy spirit within me, You would use me to pour love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness & faithfulness into others around me. When they see me, I pray they see You. Heart of my own heart, whatever befalls me, still be my vision Oh Ruler of all.
AMEN
