The Season of Renewal & Restoration: Part 1

Isaiah 55: 6-13

The question we all need to ask ourselves in this the second month of the new year of renewal & restoration, is whether our resolutions for this coming year reflect a new season of lightness or a season of darkness, of beauty or of suffering. God’s Will for us is to live an abundant life that reflects His Will & His Light for all of His creation. We are called & guided by Him to live into His Will.

The Season of Renewal & Restoration: Part 2

Isaiah 55: 6-13

Regardless of what New Year’s resolutions you may have made, the Holy Scriptures tell us that the Light & Glory of God will always overcome the darkness of this world. God works in ways we cannot see but if we seek Him, if we follow Him, we will find a pathway into the Light & healing & restoration will be given, & warring, & hatred & prejudice will cease. The scriptures tell us when we seek & follow the Lord that He will be found & by His Love & Grace, He will lead us out of darkness & hopelessness & into the Light of faith & hope.

Part 1: “THE JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME”

Matthew 2: 1-12 & Isaiah 60: 1-6

God’s signs & the prophetic messages reveal to us the true meaning of Christmas. It is why we celebrate Christmas if we believe in God & if we don’t yet, at the very least, it is what we publicly or privately seek after isn’t it? Peace, joy, hope, justice, mercy & love for all people is what we should be celebrating for that is what guided us to embrace with the birth of His Son. So, the question remains: was your spirit awakened to those feeling as you celebrated Christmas this year or not?

Part 2: “SIGNS”

Matthew 2: 1-12 & Isaiah 60: 1-6

We enter this new year in the season of Light that shatters the darkness & brings us hope. Throughout our journey this new year, darkness will come & will go but regardless of the lurking darkness that threads its way into our lives, we now know that the Divine Light of God our Creator shines in the darkness & is always there guiding us on our journey.

Part 1: “PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD”

Jeremiah 31: 31-33 Luke 3: 2b-6

I think as Christians about to celebrate the birth of God’s only Son, our fully human- fully divine Lord & savior, we need to pause amidst all our rushing around & re-think what we mean when we say we are preparing for Christmas. Somehow, all this superficial racing around & self-imposed pressure in the name of preparing to receive God’s gift to us, just does not make any sense, does it?

Part 2: “RECEIVING GOD’S GIFT WITH AN OPEN HEART”

Jeremiah 3: 31-33 Luke 3: 2b-6

 As believers preparing to celebrate God’s Holy gift of Jesus among us, we are called in faith to open our hearts to let Jesus come into our being through prayer, the Holy Word, & worship.
