Dietitian Nutritionist, Nicole Moretta, offers this simple side dish boosting stress reducing benefits. Swiss chard is naturally packed with the vitamin magnesium, which has many health benefits including stress reduction.
Step 1:
Dice swiss chard stems into 1/4" pieces
Step 2:
Stack swiss chard leaves & slice into 1/4" strips
Step 3:
Heat a very large skillet (or soup pot). Add oil, broth or water, garlic, chard stems and red pepper flakes and sauté for 30 seconds, until garlic is fragrant.
Step 4:
Stir in the chard. Cover pan and let cook for about 2 minutes, until chard is wilted. Uncover, stir and cook for 2 minutes longer. Season with salt.
