As the end of summer is coming and Labor Day weekend is approaching, parties seem to be in no short supply. If my grandmother taught me anything, it’s that you never go anywhere empty handed. Always bring something to a party, even if the host says it is not necessary. A nice bottle of wine, a desert or a dip. This chunky guacamole is the perfect thing to bring to any party this holiday weekend.
What you’ll need
2 Avocados
½ Large Red Onion
1 Medium Tomato
1 Lime
½ Lemon
¼ Cup of Chopped Cilantro
1 Jalapeño
Start by cutting open your avocados and roughly chop them. (I used a hand chopper for all of the veggies. This made all of them roughly the same size.) Finely chop your onion and dice your tomato. Combine into a medium size mixing bowl. Cut up your jalapeño into small pieces and add desired amount. (Top Tip: If you only want a little spice, deseed your jalapeño then add)
Squeeze the juice out of your lime and ½ lemon and add. Stir to combine. Once all ingredients is mixed together plate and serve with some purple tortilla chips. This can also be used on top of tacos, mixed with a salad or great with some veggies.
