Inspired Health Group is a true family practice owned and operated by two generations of the Erickson family.  As an independently owned practice, we provide compassionate, personalized care that puts patients first.  Our team at Inspired Health Group is committed to a patient-oriented approach.  By building compassionate and collaborative relationships with our patients, patients benefit from individualized care that increases their awareness and involvement in their own health and wellbeing.  This results in greater care coordination and collaboration with your specialists, including those on site, and recommendations to services you may need to thrive. 

Located on Southwestern Blvd. in Orchard Park, one mile from Highmark Stadium, Inspired Health Group offers body, mind, and spirit health care services to patients from across Western New York.  Access a range of specialists and services in our one location, including nutritionists, sleep care coordinators, behavioral health, diagnostic ultrasound, innovative new cancer tests, certified diabetes education, and more.  Lab tests, blood draws, imaging services, and medical weight loss and aesthetics are so available in our building.

Our Story 

As Board Certified Family Physicians and Diplomats of the Academy of Integrative Health, Dr. Jennifer Erickson & Dr. Robert Erickson's ambition "to care for the whole person including body, mind, and spirit" began in medical school. They believe wellness and ultimate wholeness occurs when the body, mind, and spirit are in balance with one another.  These principles lit the path for their practices together. 

The wife & husband physician duo opened their first practice in South Buffalo, NY in 1989.  Dr. Jennifer Erickson and Dr. Robert Erickson then went on to open the doors to Inspired Health Group (IHG) in 2001 with the mission to inspire patients to body, mind, and spirit prosperity. Over the past 20 years, they grew IHG into a true family practice, owned and operated by two generations of the Erickson family.  Dr. Jen & Dr. Rob's children, Family Nurse Practitioner, Betsy Mikac, FNP-C, and Family Physician, David Erickson, MD, are now both providers at Inspired Health Group.  In addition, Dr. Rob's sister, Shari Kay Shearing, BSN, RN, is the Director of Nursing.

IHG offers a variety of integrative services that reflect the values the practice was built on. Their  team of board certified practitioners, Dietitian Nutritionists, professional nurses and patient care team, excel at providing compassionate and collaborative patient care.  While on-site specialists like IHG's partnership with Endeavor Health Services to offer mental & behavioral health services through Hope Treatment & Counseling Center, to Inspired Aesthetics Medical Spa, to the Glory Center offering spiritual and pastoral care, Inspired Health Group provides care options that go beyond standard family practice care.
