Get connected with local resources and receive support for those living with Alzheimer's and dementia and their caregivers.
As people living with dementia progress in their journey and lose the ability to use words, caregivers can discover new ways to communicate effectively in any stage of the disease. Learn how dementia affects communication, how person-centered approaches can improve communication and much more.
The Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association serves all eight counties of WNY - Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming - with education programs, support groups, and other resources for those living with dementia and their care partners. Supporting diversity, equity and inclusion is vital to their mission, and they are dedicated to assisting underserved and underrepresented populations who are disproportionately affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
The Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline is a free service offering support for people living with dementia, caregivers, families and the public. Connect with a live person who can provide information, local resources, crisis assistance and emotional support.
Dial 711 to connect with a telecommunications relay service (TRS) for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired.
