Grilled Steak Salad
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak
- dash of chili powder
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- 1/4 sliced black olives
- 8 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup freshly made Italian dressing
- a medium avocado, peeled and sliced
Directions:
- Preheat grill to med-high. Sprinkle steak with chili powder. Grill 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove from grill and cover loosely and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Toss greens with tomatoes, onions and olives. Place on serving platter.
- Place dressing and avocadoes in the blender, cover and blend until smooth.
- Cut steak from the grain into thin slices. Place over salad. Drizzle with dressing mixture.
