New to Swiss chard? Try this quick side dish recipe!
2 bunches of Swiss Chard stems removed
1 tablespoon of olive oil or broth or water
2 garlic cloves minced
1 pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
salt to taste
Step 1:
Dice swiss chard stems into 1/4" pieces
Step 2:
Stack swiss chard leaves & slice into 1/4" strips
Step 3:
Heat a very large skillet (or soup pot). Add oil, broth or water, garlic, chard stems and red pepper flakes and sauté for 30 seconds, until garlic is fragrant.
Step 4:
Stir in the chard. Cover pan and let cook for about 2 minutes, until chard is wilted. Uncover, stir and cook for 2 minutes longer. Season with salt.
